The British Online Archives is an online hub for historic information which is useful to students and education institutions. I worked with the team behind the BOA to redesign the website and provide advice on the user journeys and general user experience.
When working with the BOA, I wanted to create a styleguide to help aid the development of the website as well as have it become a useful tool during the process.
I also briefly explored some ideas on a new identity as the BOA didn’t exactly have one in place. I created some simple identities that could potentially solidify BOA as a recognisable brand. This one below was proposed, but may or may not be used.
Working with the people behind BOA, I took the responsibility of converting their wireframes and turning them into a visual design and worked on several iterations to find better solutions throughout the process. See below for the final output.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed working with the team behind the British Online Archives, doing all the visual design and communicating different ideas to try and improve UX for the many pages I created. Looking forward for this website to go live, I’ll update this page as soon as it does.
